Drift Hunters unblocked: play Drift Hunters online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Drift Hunters is a 3D drifting game, not a crash-and-climb runner like most of its neighbours here. You get a car, a wide empty track and no opponents, and the only thing that earns money is how long and how sideways you can hold a slide through the corners. A session is a loop of driving, banking points, spending them in the garage and coming back for a bigger score.
If you came to Earn to Die for the feeling of upgrading a vehicle until it can do something it could not before, the garage here scratches the same itch. The difference is that the reward comes from skill with the throttle and steering rather than from surviving a zombie horde.
It runs in the browser with nothing to install, and your cars and cash stay in the browser's saved data between visits.
How to play
The movement keys are the arrows or WASD: up or W for throttle, down or S for brake and reverse, left and right to steer. The handbrake is on Space and is the main tool for starting a drift. Shift and C are usually mapped to the camera view, and the manual transmission uses separate gear-up and gear-down keys if you switch it on. The older "jump" control line you may see elsewhere does not apply, since there is nothing to jump over.
Points build while the car is sliding and the multiplier grows the longer you keep an angle. Lifting off, straightening up or hitting a wall ends the chain, so a long, controlled slide is worth far more than several short ones. Between runs you can spend your earnings on a new car or on upgrades such as engine, turbo, tyres, suspension and brakes.
Tips
- Enter a corner with speed, tap the handbrake to kick the rear out, then ease the throttle and counter-steer to hold the angle instead of mashing the steering.
- Do not buy the most powerful car first. A lower-powered car is easier to control, and learning one properly earns more than spinning out in a fast one.
- Upgrade tyres and suspension as well as the engine. More power with no grip just makes the car harder to hold in a slide.
- Pick a big, flowing corner and repeat it. Chaining a long drift on one bend is the quickest way to build the multiplier.
Similar games on Earn to Die
For a different kind of driving, Earn to Die and Earn to Die 2012 are side-on survival drives where upgrades push you through a zombie-filled road. Zombie Derby 2 puts you in a car against waves of enemies, and School Bus Demolition Derby is about smashing things with a heavy vehicle. Drift Hunters is the calm one in the group: there is nothing chasing you and the only opponent is your own score.
It suits short breaks as well as longer sittings, and a keyboard gives much better control than touch.
Questions about Drift Hunters
Is Drift Hunters unblocked at school?
Drift Hunters runs in an ordinary browser tab from earntodie.org, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
What are the controls in Drift Hunters?
Arrows or WASD to drive and steer, and Space for the handbrake, which helps start a drift. There are extra keys for the camera and for gear changes if you use the manual transmission.
How do you earn money in Drift Hunters?
Money comes from drift points. Hold a slide for longer without hitting a wall to grow the multiplier, then spend your earnings on new cars and upgrades in the garage.
Is Drift Hunters free?
Yes. It plays free in the browser on earntodie.org with no download or account.
